A Great Soccer Experience.
At GYSC, players benefit from professional training, competitive league play, and exciting tournament experiences designed to help them grow and succeed on the field.
Most GYSC teams compete in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL), where players enjoy a full fall and spring season with eight league games each season. Teams typically travel to about four away games per season, usually within a convenient 30–60 minute drive, giving players the opportunity to compete against strong regional competition while keeping travel manageable for families.
Our top-level teams compete in the EDP League, offering a higher level of play for athletes seeking an advanced soccer experience. EDP teams train and compete year-round, participate in additional tournaments, and travel for games throughout Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
All GYSC teams train twice per week with our professional coaching staff, providing consistent development in technical skills, teamwork, and game strategy.
To round out the season, every team participates in two exciting tournaments: the Blue & Gray Cup and the Battlefield Blast Tournament—great opportunities for players to showcase their skills, build team camaraderie, and enjoy the competitive spirit of the game.

Register to Attend Player Evaluations
All players are invited to attend GYSC Player Evaluations! This is a great opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills, meet our coaching staff, and experience what makes our program special. Best of all, there is no cost to participate.
What to Expect:

Easy Registration: All players must register in advance to attend evaluations.

Age-Appropriate Groups: Players will be organized by age group to ensure a fair and positive evaluation environment.

Player Identification: Numbered pinnies will be provided to each player for the evaluation sessions.

What to Bring: Players should wear shin guards and cleats and bring a soccer ball and water bottle.

Focused Evaluation Environment: To help players perform at their best, only players and designated evaluators are permitted on the fields during evaluations.

Experienced Evaluators: Players will be assessed by knowledgeable and experienced evaluators who are committed to fair and thoughtful team placement.
Families will be notified of team placement within two weeks of evaluations. Players who receive a team invitation are asked to respond within 48 hours to confirm their spot.

Additional Training Opportunities
At GYSC, we are committed to developing players at every position—including goalkeepers.
Players interested in the goalkeeper position have access to specialized goalkeeper training sessions once a week at no additional cost. These sessions are designed to help goalkeepers build confidence, improve technical skills, and learn position-specific techniques such as shot-stopping, positioning, distribution, and communication on the field.
Our dedicated goalkeeper training provides players with the focused instruction they need to grow and succeed in one of the most important roles on the team.
It’s just one more way GYSC supports the development of every player on the field.
